However, when Amity is exposed of cheating on Lilith's part, she runs off and lashes out at Luz, accusing her for humiliating her in front of the Emperor's Coven and embarrassing her at school, while lamenting how much pressure she puts on herself to be the best. However, she is surprised when Luz shows kindness while trying to comfort her and allows her to continue magic training.[25] Despite still acting hostile towards Luz, Amity slowly begins to show a sentimental side and claims she is trying to understand Luz. Eventually, she starts to become fascinated with her desire to be genuine friends, and after a night of peril with her at the library, they make up and bond over their shared love of The Good Witch Azura. This leads Amity to realize that Luz never meant any harm and that she never took the time to get to know her. While she was seemingly excited to join the Emperor's Coven, Odalia had groomed her to join. In "Hollow Mind", Hunter is transported into Belos' mindscape along with Luz, resulting in him seeing his supposed uncle's true colors first-hand.

The Owl House is an American animated fantasy television series created by Dana Terrace that aired on Disney Channel from January 10, 2020, to April 8, 2023.[1][4][5] The series features the voices of Sarah-Nicole Robles, Wendie Malick, Alex Hirsch, Tati Gabrielle, Issac Ryan Brown, Mae Whitman, Cissy Jones, Zeno Robinson, Matthew Rhys, Michaela Dietz, Elizabeth Grullon, and Fryda Wolff. But I also think some of the pros are you wouldn’t be getting the meat of what we’re getting in these three-part episodes. I think part of its cancellation and people’s being upset about it helped bring people in.

After realizing they are stranded in the Human Realm, Luz takes him and the rest of the group to her house. After helping their team win a match of flyer derby, Hunter comes up with the team name, "The Emerald Entrails". However, he then reveals his true intentions, and the "recruits" are taken to a holding cell before Darius picks them up. Hunter soon regrets his actions, and stops Darius from taking the team away.

Hunter wakes up, with his magenta eyes now brown, and reveals he knows of Flapjack's sacrifice. As the portal closes, Luz reveals that she helped Belos meet the Collector, but Hunter and the others do not blame her. Everyone, except Vee, heads to the Demon Realm, with him being the first to cross. At the Halloween Festival, Hunter, Gus, Amity, Willow, and Luz explore the festival when they come across the haunted hayride where the guide tells them the story of the Wittebane brothers where he learns he was based on Belos' older brother Caleb.
Family
When Belos possessed him, parts of Hunter's skin, left ear, and face became basil-green that spread to his arms, turning them into the ones of Belos' corrupted form while also gaining the blue eyes and antler-like horns of the latter. After being healed from Flapjack's sacrifice, Hunter received tissue scarring in the areas Belos corrupted and his eyes became brown. Four years later, Hunter has become an accomplished palisman carver and bonded to a new palisman, a blue jay named Waffle. He remains close to his friends and commemorates Flapjack, whom he builds a memorial for. Of course, “The Owl House” is more than a collection of representational milestones.
To make matters worse, a dragon attacks, causing the ship to crash-land near Latissa. “The Owl House” debuted in 2020, at a time when LGBTQ visibility on TV was on an upswing. Thanks to the behind-the-scenes efforts of queer creators on shows such as Cartoon Network’s “Steven Universe” and Netflix’s “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power,” queer characters were increasingly front and center and thriving on screen, even in kid-friendly animation. And though Disney had long been criticized as behind the curve compared with other studios and platforms when it came to LGBTQ representation — the company’s own employees pointed to this track record when calling out the company’s lackluster initial response to Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill last year — “The Owl House” raised the bar. This declaration became increasingly resonant over the course of “The Owl House’s” three-season run, which concluded Saturday, as the show repeatedly broke new ground for LGBTQ representation in kid-friendly animation. Nurturing a central queer teen romance in a world that embraces a full spectrum of sexual orientations and gender identities, the series has been a vital beacon of queer perseverance and joy at a time when right-wing activists and politicians have become increasingly hostile to the LGBTQ community, often targeting queer and trans youth.
Amity Blight (voiced by Mae Whitman) is a student at Hexside; she is an abomination expert and works part-time at the Bonesborough Library. Initially, she appears to be an petty and cold-hearted top student, who bullies those she feels are inferior to her. When Luz arrives, she unintentionally causes her to lose her cool in front of her teacher and Principal Bump; she also loses her top student title when she nearly gets Luz killed.[23] In her next appearance, she begins to hold severe disdain towards Luz, blaming her for getting her in trouble and mocking her dream of becoming a witch. This leads Luz to challenge her to a witches' duel, which will determine whether Luz will continue witch training.
Amity reluctantly obliges, but Hunter immediately betrays her by tripping her down and rushes towards Eclipse Lake. Later, after realizing what Luz's messages truly meant, Amity tries to console Hunter by telling him that there are people out there who won't make him feel worthless, and offers him her hand. However, Hunter sees the key dangling from her neck and attempts to grab it, resulting in a fight between the duo. Hunter and Amity eventually come to a stalemate, but Amity is forced to hand the key over when Hunter threatens Luz's safety.
He immediately storms over to one of Latissa's police precincts to contact the castle and shows his coven brand as proof. However, the guards running the precinct do not recognize their superior due to his young age, and when the Golden Guard asks for his staff in order to prove his identity, Luz hides it behind her back. Annoyed, the Golden Guard chases Luz through Latissa, and while she manages to elude him by using an ice pillar, the Golden Guard easily manages to climb up and corners her. Luz may have had the advantage now that she was armed with a staff, but the Golden Guard points out that no matter what she does, it won't end well for her; she won't attack him because she's too nice, and she can't fly away either because then she'd be leaving the rest of the palismen behind.

Under the cloak was a golden-yellow tunic with darker sleeves and a dark brown belt, black leggings, dark brown gloves, and boots. He wore a golden pauldron on his left shoulder and a pointed two-faceted mask with a thin slot across it. Underneath his tunic, he had a gray shirt and golden chest armor with brown straps. Hunter begins seeing Belos again and panics as he tries to convince Luz to believe him by revealing their plan to find the Titan Blood and go to get it themselves before Belos does, he has Flapjack get the Rebus, but when he hesitates, Belos takes him over briefly and angrily repeats himself, to which he doesn't understand why. Hunter begins losing control of himself and peels of a bandage to find that Belos has entered his body through the cut on his finger and takes off after seeing him again, separating from Luz, but when she finds him, Belos has completely overtaken Hunter and forces him to attack Luz against his will. Camilla rescues Hunter and Belos releases him as he escapes, with Hunter dying, only for Flapjack to revive him at the cost of his own life, which Hunter is immediately made aware of and mourns him.
