King then sends Luz and her friends away to the Human Realm to protect them from the Collector's games.[16] As he spends time with the Collector as his chosen playmate, King comes to understand that he is misguided rather than malicious and discourages Eda and Lilith from attempting to reimprison him. Upon Luz's return, King and Eda reunite with her and aid her in befriending the Collector and destroying Belos once and for all. This eventually leads to Hunter becoming Emperor Belos' right-hand man, and the boy being chosen as Lilith's replacement as Head of the Emperor's Coven. When Belos is defeated, Hunter and his companions thank the Collector for helping and they work with him to revert the citizens of the Boiling Isles back to normal. Kikimora (voiced by Mela Lee) is Belos' minion and essentially his secretary, often fighting people or giving out orders. Her hair resembles a hand clinging onto her head, and she wears a jacket that covers her mouth; a glimpse of her mouth is shown in "Clouds on the Horizon", showing she has two teeth. She rarely appears in season one, often contacting members of the Emperor's Coven. After Hunter wakes up, he finds himself in Hexside's Healing homeroom and that Gus has been taken, while everyone knows that he is the Golden Guard and nobody can trust him, Hunter tries to tell them he is on their side, Willow helps to prove his innocence after he brings up her breathing technique, and they work together to rescue Gus.
In another painting they see Belos tell lathe survivors of a destroyed town that wild magic is to blame. Hunter seems to be willing to take Amity up on her offer to go with her, but upon seeing the portal key on Amity's neck, he quickly turns on her and tries to grab the key off her. A fight ensues, with Hunter (with the help of Flapjack as his palisman) fighting both Amity and King in an effort to get the key. Hunter and Amity eventually stalemate each other, and he manipulates her into giving him the key by saying that he knew where to find both her and Luz.
He is similar to Lilith, being very loyal to Emperor Belos and has some fear of his uncle, but unlike Belos' other employees, Hunter does genuinely care about his uncle, who, according to them both, took Hunter in when their family was apparently destroyed by wild magic. While he does retain fear of his uncle, he does not seem to fear Belos in his monster state and even attempts to sway Belos towards a more effective way of harnessing the palisman magic. This also reveals Hunter has an interest in wild magic, having studied it quite thoroughly to the point of knowing some of the ways witches used to do magic back in the Savage Ages, although Belos seems to heavily disapprove of this interest.
However, upon hearing that she might acquire a long-coveted promotion, she turns on them. Luz and her friends manage to convince Boscha and the rest of the school to turn on her, resulting in her defeat once again.[17] In the epilogue, Kikimora is seen helping to rebuild the Boiling Isles, possibly as penance for her misdeeds. In season two, it is shown that Bump openly enjoys Luz's presence at the school but is forced by the Blights to expel her, Gus, and Willow, despite not wanting to.
